About the artist
"Gletscher, Vulkane und die umgebenden Landschaften haben mich schon in meiner Kindheit fasziniert"
Gletscher, Vulkane und die sie umgebenden Landschaften waren die Themen, die mich als Kind am meisten interessierten. Obwohl dieses Interesse eine Zeit lang nachgelassen hat, ist es im letzten Jahrzehnt meines Lebens mit derselben Leidenschaft und Faszination wie in meiner Jugend zurückgekehrt.
Außerdem hat mich die abstrakte Kunst schon immer fasziniert. Leider ist mein Talent als Maler begrenzt. Aber im Laufe der Jahre ist die Fotografie zu meinem Pinsel geworden, um die Bilder zu schaffen, die ich schon immer malen wollte. Mit der Entwicklung der Drohnenfotografie haben sich schließlich ganz neue Möglichkeiten ergeben, um abstrakte Bilder zu schaffen, die an Kunst erinnern.

Die globale Erwärmung wirkt sich heute stark auf die Gletscher auf unserem Planeten aus. Bis zum Ende des Jahrhunderts wird die Hälfte der sanften weißen Riesen von heute verschwunden sein. Irgendwie fühle ich mich dafür verantwortlich, ihre Schönheit zu bewahren, bevor sie verschwinden, und schaffe künstlerische Bilder von ihren Strukturen und Mustern und wie sie die Landschaft formen.
Auf der anderen Seite sind Vulkane und geothermische Gebiete die Orte, an denen man in Echtzeit beobachten kann, wie Mutter Natur neuen Boden und neue Landschaften entstehen lässt. Was all diese Orte gemeinsam haben, ist die Tatsache, dass die Fotos, wenn man die richtige Perspektive einnimmt, zu Kunstwerken werden, zu abstrakten Gemälden von Mutter Natur.
Die Themen Klimawandel, Klimakrise und globale Erwärmung sind zu einer der wichtigsten Herausforderungen auf unserem Planeten geworden. Als Keynote-Speaker mit einem Doktortitel in Betriebswirtschaft (Universität St. Gallen - Schweiz) zum Thema Change Management versuche ich, in Kombination mit meiner Fotografie, die Menschen zu mehr Nachhaltigkeit zu bewegen. Das Thema der globalen Erwärmung nicht nur aus einer negativen Perspektive zu betrachten, sondern eine positive Einstellung zu entwickeln, um die Schönheit von Mutter Natur zu retten, die wir sonst in naher Zukunft verlieren werden.
Dies ist der Schwerpunkt meiner Arbeit als Dokumentarfotograf, Klimakünstler und Redner.
