Françoise Dugourd-Caput is an award-winning artist from France whose paintings have been shown in national exhibitions. She has been passionate about art since childhood, creating dynamic abstract works and powerful portraits in oil and acrylic on canvas. Each work is full of emotion, textures and uses light and shadow to make deep colours burst.

Françoise DUGOURD-CAPUT, born in 1954, is a painter in the department of Tarn et Garonne and signs her works with FDC. Self-taught, she trained with professors at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts, initially painting figuratively, but this tireless seeker and inquisitive quickly found herself in the lap of lyrical abstraction over the course of regional exhibitions and fairs. Indeed, as an accomplished educator, this excellent draughtswoman is not afraid to show the step-by-step guide of her works and express herself in various techniques, ranging from simple strokes to watercolour, the incomparable oil painting and digital techniques. The bold FRANCA masters the relentless and faithful reality of portraiture, which she paints with talent in watercolour, just as she does with a seductive and precise bestiary. However, the artist seems to express herself most freely in oils and computer graphics on various media, in the elegant and dynamic style of Informel, in which, however, she chooses to introduce a poetry of reality that leads her creations to express a bold and captivating surrealism, steered by the conciseness of colour combined with the bravery of composition with mysterious yet very personal and expressive sweeps. FRANCA stands for exemplary creativity. Firmly anchored in its ownership, it is able to turn conventions on their head, thus asserting itself in its novel and captivating presentation of a painting that, although topical by its boldness, propagates references of quality and undeniable interest.
